The Austrian president will officially dismiss the country“s chancellor today.
Austria“s parliament has removed Chancellor Sebastian Kurz from office in a special parliamentary session. Austria“s president named Vice-Chancellor Hartwig Löger as the interim leader after the no-confidence vote.
According to the President, the transition government will work in the country before elections. Kurz himself says he is ready to accept his resignation, but the final decision will be taken by the Austrian people in the elections.
Parliamentary elections will be held in Austria in September.
